Zaagi is a local charity working to support families in crisis facing the stress and the heartache of bereavement following the loss of a baby to miscarriage, stillbirth or neo-natal death. Founded in 2015, to date the charity has provided blessing sets for families across Scotland.
We do this by providing a range of services including specially designed, handmade range of garments for baby loss including nesting blankets, wraps, blessing gowns and more. Each set includes a keepsake piece for parents, a hand knitted blanket and all are donated to hospitals. This ensures there is no cost to families, no need to find anything or even have to think about it.
Founded in 2015 following the death of their baby girl Sarah, Kimberly and Nigel set up Zaagi to try and bring some small measure of comfort to other parents facing the loss of a baby.
The name Zaagi is an Ojibwean word of the Native Americans in Michigan were Kimberly is originally from. Zaagi means "to be loved and treasured".
